Non-Aussie here, but I'll get it on account of my age I think.
I still have Diesel and Dust, Blue Sky Mine and Earth and Sun and Moon. In cassette tapes. Which my husband and I sometimes play on the road as part of our incidious agenda to foist my generation's music on my children. ;-)
Yes. I've been listening to the song "Blue" from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack all day but I can't use that as a title. So some part of my brain keeps coming up with other songs using the word "Blue".
There's no reason I should borrow from a song title, though.
Thanks for the link on google in China, BTW. I was surprised that their blocking method is so crude. Unfortunately, that suggests the govt can easily tighten security if the loopholes become more widely known.
I started a reply re. the google incident in China, but then I realised it was too long and bordering on muddling your space. I may have been carried away, so I moved it to my space. :-)
Your Illyria fic is much awaited. Our patron saint of librarian must be fun to write. I wouldn't know of course, but she sure is fun to read.
Oh God, I hope not. I like having a space where I can talk about writing fic but it feels sometimes as if I drone on and on while people die of old age in anticipation :(

Sometimes. But other times she's just won't listen to a word I say.
I didn't know that. Glad to hear he's still going strong. Meanwhile Peter Garrett's running for a safe Labor Party seat here, but then, he's been involved in politics for a long time.
Midnight Oil was the first band I ever saw in concert, although it wasn't because I was a fan (I had barely heard of them back then). A friend of mine had free tickets because -- let me see if I can get this right -- her aunt had been the unversity roommate of Peter Garrett''s wife. It's a small country :)
Unusually for 'round here, there was a dry electrical storm that night. This whipped the band into doing a very long encore, as the lightning resembled their album cover.
Did you know Garrett's running to become a Labor MP? I would have pegged him as a Green, but it's true that Labor much more likely to get into power.
Yes. At least as far as I'm concerned. Not that I consider myself to have a representative knowledge of modern music. You could maybe give an explanatory note if the title is important to you?
Well, so far it seems that from Canada to the Phillippines, those people that know something about popular music know about the Oils and those that don't, don't...
