This is, perhaps, a little unfortunate
Jul. 13th, 2004 09:53 pmHave a look here. If you don't see it straight away, search for "Weetabix".
And there's only 18 days until Writercon! How am I going to get the Illyria fic done in time if I'm writing this slowly? Argh!
Scurries back to the blue meanie...

Date: 2004-07-13 06:05 am (UTC)I read your story on con_critique (was too tired last night when I saw it on your LJ). Much enjoyed it, especially the characterisation of Darla. Not sure that I'll be able to give much in the way of proper critique in the next few days though as I have work do's on in the evening.

Date: 2004-07-13 06:20 am (UTC)Thanks for your kind words about my story. I don't know if anyone is going to manage to critique it. It is rather long. I am beginning to wonder if maybe there should be a limit to how long things can be on the group, simply because we keep being presented with huge long chunks of prose which are quite hard to digest and then comment on. I suppose I am guilty in that department too.
There's no doubt that it's easier to critique (is that really a verb?) something short.

Date: 2004-07-14 05:27 am (UTC)Can I ask though if you'll be posting any more Whedonverse reviews? I miss them. Would you consider a retrospective? Or is there an archive somewhere of older reviews that I've missed?

Date: 2004-07-14 09:31 am (UTC)I'm not planning any more AtS reviews because, to be honest, although I enjoyed individual episodes it never gripped me the way BtVS did. One day I'll get around to writing my analysis of OMWF (which, obviously, everyone thinks is utterly fabulous but whch has details I think don't get the appreciation they deserve), but I don't know when that'll be. Life is very busy at the moment, in a good way (my sister is over from England with her family and I'm being paid oodles of dosh to translate a screenplay, so I'm very short of internet time). And I'm afraid there aren't any older reviews. Sorry :-( It's lovely to be so appreciated, though.
