I've just received an unsolicited email from someone I do not know who's self-published her own vampire novel. Has anyone else received this? I'm wondering from which site she's obtained my email address.

I want to make it perfectly clear that I do not buy items advertised in spam as a matter of principle.

ETA: There's also a really obvious typo in the first sentence, if you click through to read an excerpt.

Well to help narrow it down I haven't had one to any of my accounts. That maybe means it came from an archive (my stuff is only up at a couple of archives) or a yahoo group.

What do the email headers tell you? Is it addressed to just you or are you one of a list of hundreds?

I got it, too. And I'm pretty perplexed, because while I used to be on plenty of Buffy lists and listed on websites and such, the email addy it came to is the one I've only ever used for LJ comments, and I don't have BtVS or Angel even listed as LJ interests anymore.
