Seeking recs

So, last night I started to read an excellent story by a fine author which was precisely not the right thing to read just before going to bed. I will revisit the story on the weekend, when I am better able to cope, but in the meantime, I have a need for heart-warming schmoop, fluff and banter. I'd prefer short pieces and would consider most pairings or, indeed, friendship fic.

Any ideas?

Hi, got here via friendsfriends. Have you read witling's Vamp!Xander series, Red Right Hand (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=witling&keyword=Red+Right+Hand&filter=all)? Funny, bantery, but not really short pieces, though they feel short because they're so damn enjoyable.

They always cheer me right up. Hope you feel better.

I adore witling's work but sometimes get confused when she posts it to LJ, so I haven't read it. Thanks for the rec - I will go and enjoy it.
