Very brief comments on Origins
That, ladies and gentlemen, did not suck. Not in the slightest. I've been disappointed or even disgusted at the last few eps, but this one rocked. When I express annoyance at the clunkiness of some recent story points, it's because I know ME's capable of this.

Although, as a brief aside because ofdeborahmm's recent post on AtS Season 5 Spike, I will admit that Slapstick Spike is not my favourite version, although lord knows there is infinite canon backing for this clown. But the ep was desperately not about him so I can live with it, although I had a hope that Spike, of all people, would suggest that maybe rescuing the tortured-daily team member might be a good idea, given his time with the First last year.

I agree with you about Clown!Spike as well (canonical, yes, but not my favourite incarnation), but I did think he probably enjoyed being beaten up by Illyria (the shot of her with her boot on his head made me laugh, because I was thinking 'So is this fourth base, or what?).

Even if you post later, it's a deal :) I'll finish up the piece I've been working on. It's a long weekend, so while I was working today and will be busy for much of tomorrow, I should have Monday at the very least.

Yes, but only because he could punch back. But I live in hope that someday a powerful woman will think of him as more than just a pet.
