Sick. Not bored.

Sorry about the earlier grumpiness -- I'm feeling much better now. I've had something to eat and a cup of tea and half a lamington. And Housemate-the-Viola-Player went far beyond kindness by offering me use of their bathtub (our ensuite only has a shower). So now I'm squeaky clean and well-rested and ready to take on the world -- provided I don't have to move too far from my bed to do it.

Does housemate play the viola well? I always loved the viola.

While I was in the bath they were playing music together in the next room. I have no idea what piece, but that no doubt helped to improve my mood.

That sounds blissful.

Have you played any musical instruments yourself? I used to play the flute but I'm nervous of getting it out now that I share a house with proper musicians.

I used to play the piano, but so badly that I ended up hating listening to myself and stopped. I do love classical music, though, but chamber pieces rather than full orchestral works.

Eeek - sickness sounds nasty, but lamingtons are good. And now I have a sugar craving...

I'm lying awake here, sweltering in the hottest mid-April Canberra temperatures on record. How's Adelaide?
