I am not doing much on LJ at the moment as I am, unexpectedly, writing fic.

Urgent update: Anyone who knows (of) ginmar will want to take a look at her journal right now. She and her unit have been cut off and are trapped in a hostile city in Iraq. Tonight I'm hoping they get through OK.

Wonderful news that you are writing another fic. Will check up on ginmar. She's so brave, and I feel very worried for her whenever I read her journal.

I've been reading ginmar's journal since I got this LJ. I couldn't say that I've talked to her much as I can never think of anything useful to say, but I always like to hear how she's doing. Since she was posted to Iraq, well, it's been astonishing to read her account. Impossible not to worry about her and everyone else on the ground there. I haven't seen much of that kind of detail reported by the Press.
