So there I was, wondering if perhaps the passion was leaving my Spike obsession. Perhaps I'm taking so long over my present fic because I no longer care? But then I got home and found a package upon the hall table: VCDs of Angel Season 5 to date. And now my stomach's doing flip-flops and I'm not sure if I want my dinner. I'm not even sure if I want to watch the eps. What if ME are doing horrible things to him this year? What if an episode Josses my current fic? What if the characterisation is so shonky that I lose all respect for the show and my interest in it? I recall now that I always got mild indigestion on Tuesday evenings because of BtVS.

But my thanks go regardless to my Anonymous Benefactor :)

Don't be nervous, Indri. Mutant Enemy has made Spike go through so many crazy plot twists, and yet our boy has always managed to come out alive and kicking.

Not to spoil you or anything, but my buffyverse co-conspirator [livejournal.com profile] bungbrain with whom I watch BtVS (and now AtS) regularly, and I are both enjoying AtS season 5 so far. And she is an Angel fan who told me last time we watched, that she's liking Spike's journey. I told her I'm also starting to get Angel. I suppose these mutual "starting to like the other's souled vamp" can be read many different ways.

I'll stop here before I really spoil you.
