I'm not very happy with the "Car" chapter. Originally it was entitled "Bike" and featured Mrs Fong on a large motorcycle quipping through Shanghai. One beta thought Fong Li rather dominated the proceedings, so I toned her down, but I worry it's become dull. I want to show that firstly, there would be places where Giles would be out of his depth, and secondly, that there are other people about as competent working outside the Council.
