More atmosphere than I really wanted
Apr. 17th, 2006 06:42 pmWe had a powercut this afternoon. It was pouring with rain, and dark, so I spent some time using paper and pen under candlelight to write about Dru.
It's been a highly productive weekend: three whole days spent writing. I think my problem is that I need half a day to warm-up to write, which is useless if all the time I have is a couple of hours between dinner and bed. I can't say that the words flow out like a tap being switched on, even then: it's more like squeezing something thick out of a tube, because there are still fits and starts and it takes actual work.
I need to train myself to write in smaller bursts. Either that or I must lock myself in my room for twelve hours at a time.
