Only 20 hours left!

Today is the last day of my Writercon auction. Bids close a little less than twenty hours from now, if that helps you sort out the time zones.

I'm currently at US$30 and belong to keswindhover. Come on, admit it, that's a bargain :).

Also, I need to clarify a few matters, based on some emails and comments I've received.

(i) Yes, I am willing to try my hand at slash. But I can't promise to be any good at it.

(ii) The last line in my spiel is from Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. Bloodbaths are in fact optional.

(iii) I am incapable of writing PWP. Plot always intrudes somehow. Sorry.

You are such a sweetie! Just got your email. You've definitely been bid out of my range - congratulations! - but you're generousity has inspired me to give what I can afford direct to the WriterCon folks. And if you don't ever get round to writing slash, neveryoumind. This is definitely an it's-the-thought-that-counts situation. :)

oh, but if you *do* get round to writing it, well, I'll be very, very... happy? (I'm thinking the normal tangible gratitude in the form of choclatey gifts won't survive the US to Australia trip too well.) :D

Hi there! Always fine to meet a fellow librarian/library assistant/book junkie. And thank you, both for the Writercon donation and for your enthusiasm for my writing.

I've had a Giles plot bunny in mind for a while, but I find it very difficult to tell which of the ideas I have are able to be turned into something worthwhile. Tonight I'm feeling positive about the story but I have no idea how I'll be feeling tomorrow.

I haven't heard from the auction winner yet though, which is making me fidget. I want to know what I'll be working on so my brain can get started on it.
