I am, much to my amazement, writing again. I'm up to Chapter 4 of my Giles fic with no signs of stopping. Oddly, it's an action and dialogue-driven piece, which I'm not sure I've done before. I did a writing exercise with [livejournal.com profile] peasant_ recently on dialogue and it seems to have unblocked me (thanks, Pea!).

[livejournal.com profile] wisteria_ is conducting a post-NFA poll. [livejournal.com profile] makd's response made me go all uncharacteristically sniffly. (Spike/Angel shippers should read the comments.)

Meanwhile, many people have been pondering Angelus, including , deborahmm, peasant_ and ginmar. Oh, and Salon have started issuing an annual award for the most-overlooked TV show. They're calling it "the Buffy".

Desperate Remedies (New Zealand, 1993). High-camp, grand guignol, overly-technicolour melodrama with period frocks. The strong-willed Dorothea considers a marriage that will consolidate her business interests, but lusts after the handsome nobody she has arranged to marry her pregnant, drug-addicted sister. Set against a background of war in nineteenth-century New Zealand, this has to be seen to be believed. Includes a Prince look-alike, partial nudity and the wilful misuse of tartan.
