I'm afraid that it's now official

The fic I'm currently working on is almost complete rubbish but it has helped me identify the topics I am interested in writing about. I just need to find quite a different approach to their expression.

I am comfortable with this. Descent began as something entirely different, a riff off mpoetess's Bachelor Pad, in which I confronted a post-"Help" Spike with his mother's ghost. It was completely awful, apart from one line, but it did knock enough skittles together in my head to bring about Descent. So I'm hoping something similar (albeit on a smaller scale) might happen here.

In the meantime, I should go on long walks, read The South Australian Driver's Handbook and enrol in that kayaking club. And I will be glad that I don't rely on my writing for income because otherwise this would be painful.

And yes, my mood has improved after yesterday. I was just feeling curmudgeonly.
